I was born and raised in northern Ohio. I spent most of my childhood growing up on a small farm in the middle of nowhere. Therefore, I love trees, animals, flowers, and imagining things. I, however, do not love country music, John Deere, or pork rinds...so ignore the stereotypes please.
I moved to Cincinnati to go to college. Surprising enough I graduated in 2007 despite dyslexia and a severe case of procrastination. After graduation I got two jobs; one in a library attempting to preserve/conserve books and the other slinging lattes and scrubbing espresso machines part time at Starbucks.
Three and a half years ago I met the love of my life (aka Antoine, aka the fiance now) via the internets. (Thank you internets!!) Scoff all you want but I've never been happier, and really if it hadn't happened to me I'd probably be just as skeptical. Almost two years ago Antoine and I bought our first house. Yes, we are living in sin. Yes, I am okay with that!
At the beginning of 2011 the fiance got a big fancy job consulting, now I only have one job...the library gig! Monday through Thursday Antoine will be on site (north of Chicago) and I'll be by my lonesome playing book nerd during the day and mom to a Basset and a clingy cat in the evening. It's going to be an adjustment, to say the least, but I'm hopeful that it will be a good change.
